Olive Branch Strategic is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit with the mission of responding rapidly to disasters, conflict areas, and humanitarian crises, both regionally and globally with the goal of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, while providing relief through service and the distribution of humanitarian aid.

Tim was born and raised in North Carolina. His desire to serve was evident when in 2001 after the attack on the World Trade Centers in New York City; Tim joined the United States Army. After meeting the requirements to become a U.S. Army Ranger, Tim joined the 75th Ranger Regiment where he served in multiple deployments both in Iraq and Afghanistan. After his 4-year enlistment had ended, Tim left military service to start a family, but it was in this transition that Tim felt the call to serve yet again. Leveraging his skills obtained in the military, Tim joined the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department where he currently serves as a member of the Special Response Tactical Unit (SRT), the full-time component of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). When he is not deployed with OBS, Tim enjoys spending time with his beautiful wife, Angela, and his 2 children, Colton and Savannah, as well as fishing and hunting. Throughout his journey, Tim credits his faith in Christ for his desire to serve. Now with Olive Branch Strategic, Tim is excited to share God’s love by using his gifts and abilities to help those in need.

Joshua Derington, was born and raised in Madisonville, KY. His passion to serve started early on as he joined the Army National Guard right out of high school. While in the military, Josh served as a vehicle mechanic, heavy equipment operator, and ended his twenty-one-year career as a critical care flight paramedic and instructor. Josh has also served as a volunteer firefighter and a civilian flight paramedic. During his time in the military, Josh had the opportunity to serve with several combat deployments and non-combat support missions. Josh currently lives in the middle Tennessee area with his beautiful wife Amanda, and baby girl Ava. If he is not deployed with Olive Branch Strategic, Josh enjoys farming, woodworking, and teaching medical classes to other emergency medical technicians and non-medical providers. As a founding member of OBS, Josh not only hopes to grow in his walk with the Lord, but also share the love of Christ with those in need.

Bart Rader was born and raised in Goodlettsville, TN. After attending high school at Davidson Academy, Bart graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Cumberland University. From there, Bart felt called to serve and joined the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department. During his 23 years of service to the citizens of Nashville, Bart has been a Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) operator for 20 of them. While on SWAT, he has served as a sniper, tactical medic, and explosive breacher. Bart married his high school sweetheart Tara, and has three incredible children: Presley, Brooklyn, and Jaleijza. If he is not deployed with OBS, Bart enjoys teaching medical classes, coaching softball, and spending time with his family. As a deacon at Madison Creek Baptist Church, Bart understands the importance of discipleship and how “iron sharpens iron.” Through OBS, Bart hopes to not only refine his own walk, but those around him as well. Together he hopes to shine the light of Christ to those in their darkest hour.

Corey was born and raised in a quiet suburb of Cleveland, OH. In 1996 his family moved to Nashville, TN where after graduation from high school, he joined the United States Navy in 2000. While in the Navy, Corey served in the intelligence community supporting both Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. After his 4-year enlistment, Corey pursued academics and graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Entrepreneurship.  It was during this time that Corey was transitioning into a new career with the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department where he is currently a member of the Special Response Tactical Unit (SRT), the full-time component of the Special Weapons and Tactics Team (SWAT). In 2018, Corey and his wife Ashlea felt the Lord calling them into ministry and in 2020, Corey graduated from Liberty University with a Master’s Degree in Christian Apologetics. Soon after, he accepted an associate pastor position at Madison Creek Baptist Church (MCBC) in Goodlettsville, TN where in 2021, Corey was ordained as pastor. Since his ministry began, Corey has been passionate about mission work. He wanted to create an organization where the love of Christ could be shared in the most difficult of circumstances. And in 2022, after many months of prayer and a conversation with 4 men, Olive Branch Strategic was born. When he is not deployed with OBS, Corey enjoys aviation, serving as pastor at MCBC, and spending time with his beautiful wife Ashlea and son Stone.

Mike Jones was born and raised in Springfield, TN. As a lifelong dairy farmer, Mike understands the meaning of hard work. No surprise he took up bull riding at an early age. When he turned 18 years old, Mike gave his life to Christ at Haywood Hills Baptist Church. Since then, he has served faithfully in multiple ministries to include 21 years as a member, board of director, elder, and Sunday school teacher at Cornerstone Church. Now serving at Madison Creek Baptist Church, Mike challenges others to stretch their faith and to be all that God has called them to be. This is no better witnessed than at his weekly ministry, simply known as the “The Barn.” Every week Mike disciples men from all walks of life at his home and encourages them to dig into God’s Word. When he is not deployed with Olive Branch Strategic, Mike volunteers as Chaplain alongside his beautiful wife Jere at Centennial Hospital in Nashville, TN. Through OBS, Mike hopes to use his ministry experience to bring peace to those who are in crisis.
